![]() Maybe you want to implement a one-tap link to a specific section of your system settings. Maybe you want to add in a simpler shortcut for activating Android's now-rather-buried split-screen function, for instance. Have you seen that thing yet? By default, it has controls for smart lights and other connected gadgets associated with your phone and/or Google account - but with a teensy bit of tinkering, you can actually expand it to include controls for almost anything your curiously moist brain can cook up. I then have to select "Cancel" or "Continue" - this overlays my Google Maps and I have to pull over to press Continue to see my driving directions again. One of Android 11's most useful additions is the new connected-device command center that comes up whenever you press and hold your phone's power button. Continue sharing your network using mobile data?" "The wi-fi network has been disconnected. ![]() The exact wording for the message I get when I drive away from my Wi-Fi network with hotspot turned on is: Phone is an Oppo A74 5G (or other Model number is CPH2197)Ībove is my current OS version, not sure what it was prior to this upgrade that stupidly started sharing my Wi-Fi over hotspot.confirms the same: definitely re-sharing my Wi-Fi connection over hotspot. I turn off Wi-Fi on my mobile phone and then my connected device shows the mobile carrier's IP address instead. Why on earth would I want that? If I wanted to use WiFi on other devices, I would connect straight to the original WiFi network, not hop the network traffic through the phone!!! I NEVER want my phone to reroute WiFi network it's connected to. Similarly, when I turned on WiFi, hotspot automatically turned off.
